The only action you have to take is to share content of your favorite brands through your social media channels. Everyone gets notified when a new piece of content of a campaign is published. Every piece of content shared is worth 1 point. The faster you share, the more bonus points you get. The maximum bonus per piece of content is 1 point, which you can get if you share that particular content immediately when it gets published. If your share is delayed, you get a bonus between 0 and 1, depending on how quickly you share.

Many campaigns will be played through multiple social networks. If you connect other social networks of yours to Brandvocat, you earn additional bonus points (if that particular campaign is linked to more social networks). We encourage you to connect as many social networks as possible to Brandvocat - you get a bonus multiplier of 1.1 for every additional social network connected.

Diminishing returns algorythm
Our goal at Brandvocat is locating brand advocates and making them earn rewards. For this purpose, we implemented a balancing algorithm into our scoring system, called Diminishing Returns, which is quite common and widely used in online gaming. This algorithm challenges those users who participate in too many campaigns one after another without continence.
How does Diminishing Returns Algorithm work?
The Algorithm takes account of two different things: (1) when was the last time one participated in a campaign and (2) what rank has she achieved in that particular campaign? The greater the rank and the closer the end date of the last campaign, the more widely the algorithm lowers the score of the participant. However, the intervention of the Algorith is not drastic: for example, in case a user achieved the first place in a campaign and thus became the Ambassador on Monday, and participates in another campaign starting on Tuesday, then she receives her scores with a multiplier lower than 1. (In case of parallel campaigns the system applies the multiplier “ex post facto”. It will be much tougher for her to win, however, she won’t be restricted participating. After 30 days elapsed, Diminishing Returns Algorithm is no longer applied to anyone.
Why is this algorithm important?
If a Brandvocat user participates in many campaigns - probably in line -, then she shares so many content on her various social media profiles that could be disturbing for her friends / followers – which is called spamming. Brandvocat is not holding back users from participating in more campaigns at a time, but definitely not supporting spamming at the same time and emphasizes the balanced use of social media without overflowing others with content of any kind.
Why is this whole thing essential?
The main purpose of Brandvocat is to connect Brands with the most loyal brand advocates. This connection must be mutually beneficial, brands gain promotion and visibility, brand advocates receive never before seen rewards. The goal of each brand is to spot their brand advocates and it’s pretty clear that one particular person can’t just be credible in each and every industries.
